Officer, Business Support – Investment Centre
Any Arts Council Office
Salary: £27,688 Regional, £29,868 London per annum
Contract: Permanent, working 35 hours per week
We are looking to recruit an Officer to join our busy Business Support team based in our Manchester Office but operate across England. The role will be mainly office based and you would be expected to travel to other Arts Council office from time to time, although we are currently operating from home due to the pandemic restrictions: we will return when it is safe to do so. Interviews will be held remotely.
The role is to provide expert advice and support to staff across England to help them understand best practice in grant financial monitoring, analysing financial data and compliance. This will involve acting as a point of contact for area staff resolving grant process queries and trouble-shooting system issues with IT, providing training and advice when required.
You will regularly monitor and reconcile our investment programme budgets and be responsible for the quality assurance and releasing of grant payments, reviewing financial data in grant applications and monitoring outstanding grant balances and reclaiming grants where necessary.
We are looking to recruit an organised, solutions-focused individual who can manage multiple priorities at the same time to provide accurate and helpful advice and support to colleagues, in relation to Arts Council grants and financial data. The candidate will be able to absorb and retain large amounts of information, juggle priorities and distribute information in an engaging and compelling way to colleagues from different backgrounds and abilities.
Full training will be given, but it is expected that the successful candidate will have experience in financial analysis and advice-giving.
Disabled people, those from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds and people under 30 are under-represented in our workforce so we particularly encourage applications from people in these groups.
