Network Co-ordinator (Freelance), The Lowry

Deadline: Monday 29 February 2016.

Freelance Network Co-ordinator – £1,500 project fee (from March 2016 to October 2016)

Quays Culture is a cultural programme generated through a consortium of partners who are leading the way in the fields of digital media, broadcasting, education, business, sport, arts, culture and heritage. The aim of the programme is to enrich the location of The Quays, making it a visitor destination through a programme of arts and cultural events.

We are looking for a Network Co-ordinator to work on a freelance basis to support a Quays Culture project from March to October 2016. Using strong existing networks as well as forming new connections within the artist film industry, the Network Co-ordinator will create an extensive and diverse database of contacts to promote the project and reach artists working across the North of England.

You will be the main point of contact for enquiries and entries for the artist film competition, replying promptly and keeping records up to date and accessible to the Quays Culture team. You will also work with the Quays Culture team and wider partnership to ensure comprehensive planning and organisation of the project.

This role could be undertaken remotely or alternatively desk space can be provided if required. We would anticipate the scope of the position to equate to approximately 8 days work, however this is dependent on workload and the individual candidate. The project fee is payable for completion of work for the project.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working within the Arts sector, including knowledge of current artist film networks and events. Excellent IT, organisational, administrative and communication skills are essential. You will also have a pro-active approach to forming new networks and generating interest for a project.

The successful candidate will represent Quays Culture and the wider partnership in an exemplary light at all times.

The application deadline for this vacancy is Monday 29 February 2016 at 10:00am.

Interviews will take place on Friday 04 March 2016.
