National Museums Liverpool Trading Ltd (NMLT) now has an exciting opportunity for a creative, talented and professional Marketing and Communications Officer with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a passion for digital marketing.
The purpose of the role
This is a key role to assist the Head of Business Development to manage and deliver marketing projects and campaigns as part of the NMLT marketing strategy, ensuring social and digital marketing are optimised. They are responsible for the promotion of the Retail, Catering and Events businesses to enhance brand awareness and grow customer interaction resulting in a growth in sales and customer satisfaction. Key to this role is the ability to build strong relationships and good communication, liaising with National Museums Liverpool Marketing and Communications team to ensure coherent approaches achieved and brand guidelines maintained.
Key accountabilities
Marketing :
This role is responsible for assisting the Retail, Catering and Events divisions in developing and delivering their marketing strategies including budget management for projects and campaigns. Regularly measuring and reporting on the impact of campaigns, ensuring effective targeting of future marketing. Compiling robust design briefs, including copy writing with a creative approach and clear understanding of the target market for each division and venue we operate in. The ideal candidate will also assist in developing NMLT divisional branding and visual merchandising standards.
Communications:
The post holder will liaise closely with NML Communications and Web teams to develop and update the NMLT divisional web pages, blogs and social media platforms to improve customers and visitors engagement and deliver a regular, positive brand and product promotion. Taking ownership for content and images for press releases, editorial content and award applications..
Developing Retail, Catering and Events social media champions within our venues will also be key to this role.
Image management:
You will maintain all corporate images in line with the company standard, and organize photography to grow the image portfolio and to support marketing and communication campaigns as and when necessary.
Personal Specifications
- Previous working experience in digital marketing, social media in a fast paced commercial environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional writing and IT skills, proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must have the ability to plan, prioritise and manage workloads whilst meeting deadlines
- Previous project management experience
- An outstanding team player with the ability to work on own initiative to drive result
