Salary: £32,615 per annum plus excellent benefits
Contract: Permanent, working 35 hours per week
Arts Council England champions, develops and invests in artistic and cultural experiences to enrich people’s lives. We support a range of activities across the arts, museums and libraries – from theatre to digital art – reading to dance, music to literature, and crafts to collections. Each year we invest over £650m of public money from government and the National Lottery to help deliver this vision.
To help us deliver our objectives in an efficient and effective manner we are looking to recruit an experienced Counter-Fraud professional to join our Finance team. In this role you will be responsible for developing and implementing organisation-wide systems and policies which enable the prevention and detection of Fraud. You will be the Counter Fraud lead for the organisation and the initial point of contact for all Counter Fraud issues. You will be working in partnership with stakeholders across the organisation and also externally. You will take a proactive approach in reviewing the existing systems, making recommendations as to how these can be improved, ensuring the recommendations are implemented and testing them to ensure they are operating correctly. You will also lead on investigating reports of Fraud.
To carry out this role effectively you will need to have significant experience of working in a similar role. You will have an understanding of complex business and finance operations, the ability to build constructive relationships, practical knowledge and experience of maintaining risk registers, carrying out fraud risk assessments, and experience of designing. documenting, and implementing internal controls. You will have the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
