Wider Opportunities Leader (Lower Strings)

The Council Music Service is looking to appoint a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and experienced specialist lower strings tutor to fill a post from January 2016.

The post is for one day per week including work in our Wednesday evening Music Centre. Work will include teaching existing pupils in mixed ability groups as well as expanding the number of young people beginning and making progress on a string instrument. The ability to play and teach violin and viola to at least an intermediate level is essential as teaching will potentially include at least one mixed string whole class Wider Opportunities: First Access programme. The contract will be for approximately 6.5 hours of teaching per week during term time as well as an some non-contact time, holiday and sick pay entailments.
