Lancaster Institute for the Contemporary Arts (LICA) seeks to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Service Design/Innovation. You will join the design section of the department and will also be a member of ImaginationLancaster, a design-led research centre within LICA. Based in the broad field of service design, your research interests should demonstrate an awareness of contemporary research agenda in service design, social innovation, etc. We are particularly interested in candidates with research and teaching expertise complementary to the activities of LICA.
You should have a developed publication record and teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate level, or the potential to develop (for G7 lecturer level appointment). You should have a completed PhD by appointment date (or within 12 months of appointment), in design, service design or related fields. You will contribute actively to the life of the Department, enjoy working as part of a team, and possess the ability to adapt to the demands of working in a fast-paced and exciting interdisciplinary environment.
ImaginationLancaster is an internationally recognised design and innovation research centre in Lancaster Institute for the Contemporary Arts. It conducts applied and theoretical research into people, products, places and their interactions. It works across traditional boundaries, linking disciplines and collaborating with organisations and universities nationally and internationally. It is involved in high-impact experimental and applied research that creates pathways from the laboratory to the marketplace.
