Learning & Public Programmes Manager, Science Museum Group (based at Museum of Science and Industry)

Are you a strong operational manager with experience of working within a learning environment? Are you passionate about delivering life-enhancing learning experiences?

Our learning team is unique and diverse. From our historic working machinery to developing an innovative and creative programme, we deliver high-quality learning experiences to schools, families and adults.

We’re looking for an experienced and confident manager who can hit the ground running and who will thrive in this diverse and unique environment. You’ll need to be a strong leader, confident decision maker and highly organised.

As part of this role, your priorities will include managing the team to deliver programming for upcoming holidays, programmes and events. You will ensure that we embed the findings of recent audience research about our family audience in to our work. You will also support and manage the team to deliver excellence in bringing to life our historic working machinery experiences and embed the new key stage 3 offer in our operations.

This is a fixed term position for 9 months to provide cover for the existing post holder.

As part of the Science Museum Group this is an exciting opportunity to join the team. You’ll have the opportunity to travel to our other sites and there is the potential for future opportunities within the group.
