LEARNING PROGRAMME ASSISTANT – FIXED TERM CONTRACT TO 30 NOVEMBER 2023

Liverpool Biennial is currently seeking a Programme Assistant to join its Learning Team, to work on the Biennial’s 12th edition as well as its year-round programme of learning activities and events. They will support the Curator of Learning by working with artists on new commissions, and delivering engaging, in-person and online workshops for schools, families and diverse communities from across the Liverpool City Region and beyond.

Our ideal candidate will have a knowledge of and passion for contemporary visual arts, and experience of working on participatory arts projects with young people, schools and/or community groups. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, energetic, and flexible, with at least two years’ experience of working in a similar role in contemporary visual arts. Although not essential, experience in the Liverpool City Region would be beneficial.

The Learning Programme Assistant also undertakes a range of administrative duties relating to both the learning and programme teams, in addition to working cross-departmentally with the other Biennial departments.

This role will be offered on a fixed-term contract to 30 November 2023, and will involve some evening and weekend working, for which we offer compensatory time off in lieu. The successful candidate will need to have or to obtain a DBS enhanced certificate.
