LEARNER EXPERIENCE OFFICER (TERM-TIME)
37.5 hrs per week, 38 weeks per year
£15,806 – £18,769 p.a.
This rewarding role will focus on engaging with students and increasing participation in a whole range of enrichment opportunities including cultural, social and personal development activities with the aim of ensuring that students’ time at College is fulfilling and offers the broadest possible range of learning experiences.
Working closely with teaching staff, you will have the opportunity to be creative and develop and implement a programme of activities that appeal to students and encourage them to positively participate in and contribute to college life. You will also be involved in overseeing work experience arrangements and liaising with HEIs (including LIPA) on widening participation events.
You will be a self-motivated individual, with excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, meaning that you are able to communicate with a range of stakeholders both internal and external to the College including students, parents and governors. You must be approachable and have the ability to build relationships across the College.
A flexible approach to work and a track record of completing tasks to deadlines is essential. You will need to use your own initiative and be able to manage a varied workload, accommodating, where necessary, the needs of individual students. Previous experience of working within a college environment would be advantageous.
You will have a relevant vocational qualification or degree and, ideally, experience of providing enrichment activities for young people particularly those in the 16-19 age range. Experience of delivering workshops and organising activities is essential.
