With significant successful experience of leadership and management in a cognate department, you will demonstrate strategic acuity and a detailed knowledge of the UK higher education sector along with an established track record of publications, and engagement with a range of external partners.

About the Role

This presents an exciting opportunity for a talented and inspiring academic leader to take responsibility for all aspects of the strategic direction of the department of Performing Arts and its future positioning in international and national contexts. You will lead the department through its next phase of development taking the lead to build on its existing strengths while identifying opportunities for new high-quality initiatives.

It is expected that you will push forward priorities for research and teaching excellence and will play a key role in advancing the University’s internationalisation agenda. Providing visionary leadership, you will assist in the further development of a culture of high performance and will provide vision and direction to staff within the department.
