Job title: Business Development Manager.

Payment: £200 per day. Freelance 2 days per week.

Responsible to: Global Grooves SMT.

Responsible for: Freelance workforce.

Contract: Minimum 6 month fixed-term freelance contract with possibility of extension dependent on performance.

Location: The Vale, Unit 2 Vale Mill, Micklehurst Road, Mossley, OL5 9JL.

Hours: General office hours are 10.00 – 18.00, but evenings and weekends may occasionally be required for which Time Off in Lieu (TOIL) is offered by agreement of the SMT.

Travel: Sometimes overnight stays are required, as well as occasional evenings and weekends. We would consider amending this post to suit working parents or carers that require shorter working hours.

Probation period: 2 months.

Global Grooves is entering an exciting period of development as we devise, create and re-imagine a selection of new outdoor arts productions and performances to tour to festivals, carnivals, public and private events throughout the UK.

This work will support and underpin the financial modelling to create and develop a new Carnival Centre of Excellence for the North of England and the sustainability of Global Grooves moving forwards.

To achieve this we’re seeking to appoint an experienced and versatile Business Development Manager, who will plan and deliver a strategic business development programme to help to connect with new partners and secure commercial bookings at festivals and events throughout the UK.

This will include creating a robust business case and communications plan for all of our touring productions and selected participatory arts programmes, identifying and following up leads, showcasing to clients our menu of commercial work, and building relationships with current and new partners leading to increased commercial bookings at festivals and events throughout the UK.
