In this role you will assist the Principal Museums Officer in the development of exhibitions and displays drawn from Wirral’s collections and external providers; and support the Senior Keeper in ensuring the smooth running of exhibition installations and object movement.
In this role, you will develop exhibitions under the direction of the Principal Museums Officer. You will support the Learning Officer and marketing team in the creation and implementation of engagement plans for specific exhibitions.
You will ensure that all necessary documentation is accurate and disseminated to all concerned parties in a timely manner.
We are looking for someone who can deliver interesting and diverse exhibitions using our collections and work bought in.
You’ll need to be qualified in a relevant discipline and have experience working in a gallery and/or museum setting, including their stores.
Your experience will include handling a range of museum and gallery objects safely.
You will need a track record of liaising with external contractors and maintaining security in stores and gallery spaces.
Above all you will be looking to improve the way we engage with our employees/residents/customers to ensure they are at the heart of everything we do.
