In February 2015 the Whitworth, part of the University of Manchester, reopened as an expanded gallery in the park. With new exhibition galleries, collections and study centre, learning studio, Grand Hall and beautiful art garden, we are a transformed gallery. In our first year we have welcomed 450,000+ visitors, been crowned Museum of the Year and won a national RIBA award for our beautiful building.
We are recruiting an exhibitions curator who will work with our historic and contemporary collections and make exhibitions that contribute to the international success we have seen since reopening in 2015. We welcome applications from across the wide diversity of curatorial experience, across the UK and the world.
As an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons. However, as black and minority ethnic (BME)/male candidates are currently under-represented at this level in this area, we would particularly welcome applications from BME/male applicants. All appointments will be made on merit.
