The show
The Lost Estate is looking for a Duty Manager for the Manchester transfer of The Lost Love Speakeasy, which premiered last year in London and ran for three sold-out months. The Speakeasy is a secret New York Jazz Age experience, a heightened and theatricalised jazz club. The show features the greatest music of the 1920s, performed by a singer and live jazz quartet in addition to moments of theatre, immersive set/LX design and a dining experience curated by David Lagonell, former Head Chef of Ottolenghi’s noted Soho restaurant, Nopi. An intimate experience for 130 guests, it will take place in a central Manchester warehouse space, located 5 minutes from Manchester Piccadilly Station from May – August 2020.

- Opening night: Friday 15th May 2020 in central Manchester
- Closing night: 9th August 2020 (further extensions TBC)
- Performances: 7-show week. Tuesdays-Sundays, with a matinee on Saturdays. Monday is a free day
- Pay: £535/week
The role
The Lost Love Speakeasy is a small and intimate show with high creative and production values. Reporting directly to the Show Manager, the Duty Manager is responsible for the health and safety of the public, staff and members during shows and events, ensuring that audiences and staff alike are able to enjoy and work in a safe and secure environment. The role requires someone with strong supervisory skills, organisational skills, and experience of delivering excellent customer service, preferably within a hospitality or arts environment.
