Unique job opportunity in Blackpool – come and work with us beside the seaside!

We are seeking an innovative and dynamic director to lead on establishing and developing The Art Bed and Breakfast project centred on a disused hotel being refurbished by artists on Blackpool seafront.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to play a leading role in developing an unusual commercial business which will in turn support and host a creative hub, cafe and programme of creative activities and training. Like a mini arts centre – but in a B&B!

A B&B has been established as a community interest company.

We want to offer this opportunity to a motivated and creative director who is passionate and able to drive forward the capital development and businesses operation as well as being part of a cultural shift on the Fylde Coast.

The Director will be a key addition to the team ensuring that all aspects of A B&B are delivered during the refurbishment phase and that the teams, systems and public programme are performing to the highest standard from the point of opening.

The job will involve 4 key areas:

  • Leadership and Operations Management
  • Financial and Human Resources Management
  • Business Development
  • Monitoring and evaluation for funders and stakeholders

We are offering £39,500 per annum pro-rata (we expect the role to be worked as 30 flexible hrs per week which would give a gross annual salary of £32,000). This is initially a two year contract with potential for extension.
