Collaboration: Out of the Blue and Blue Room Guest Artist(s), Bluecoat

Deadline for Expressions of interest: 9am on Monday 6 June 2016.

Out of the Blue is a 3 year programme of after school art clubs, family activities and holiday activities which seeks to develop connections with and increase engagement with Bluecoat by children and families from neighbourhoods across Liverpool.

The programme is co-delivered by volunteers from Blue Room, a long-term project which provides space and support for learning disabled artists to develop skills and create work in collaboration with an artist facilitator.

Blue Room have been working with Out of the Blue groups since February 2014, sharing their artistic practice whilst developing and supporting workshops for children. Blue Room members have gained greater confidence and independence through supported volunteering roles.

From October 2016 we will be celebrating the work of these two programmes in a four week gallery exhibition at Bluecoat.

We are seeking expressions of interest from an artist with experience of collaborative practice to develop work with Out of the Blue and Blue Room for this exhibition which will reflect the nature of the creative journey they have been on together.

We have a total fee of £1550 for this work.
