About the role
Reporting to the Director, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be responsible for implementing and strengthening internal organisational processes that will allow shared reading to grow and fulfil its ambition. They will have three key areas of responsibility:
Development and delivery of the Financial Strategy
Oversight of The Reader, Shared Reading Delivery and Development
Head Office Management
The COO will deputise for the Director as and when required and report to the Board of Trustees as required.
About The Reader Organisation
The Reader is a fast-growing social enterprise with a national and international remit that develops innovative shared reading-aloud groups in diverse communities. Our Head Office is in our home city of Liverpool, but we have teams in London, the North East, the South West and Wales, as well as a national prisons project in 19 locations, and sister projects in Australia, Belgium and Denmark.
