Salary. £32-35000 p.a. + 5% pension contribution
The Art House is seeking a Chief Executive/Artistic Director who can lead this ACE NPO as a champion for the Creative Case for Diversity, supporting and developing visual artists and creative communities to achieve their full potential.
Based at our newly expanded studio facility in Wakefield we are looking for someone who has the appetite, skills and experience to motivate support, deliver a range of programmes and position the organisation on the cultural map locally, regionally and nationally. He/she should have the confidence to deliver locally and also be able to position The Art House as an exemplar for debates around diversity and inclusivity nationally, with a reputation for a strong artistic vision and direction.
Candidates for this role will be individuals who have held/hold leadership roles in the cultural sector, preferably with a background in the visual arts; have a clear understanding of diversity and disability issues in the arts; have an appetite for challenge and a track record of generating income; have the skills to ensure that The Art House can be at the centre of debate; and can attract contributors and audiences to the work of the organisation together with funding that matches the aspirations of the Board and the organisation.
