Salary: £24,206 p.a. based on 47.5 hr/wk (£9.80 per hour), plus great benefits

Tate Entertaining caters for all of the gallery’s events and most of Tate’s external events. Our success lies in a small and dedicated team that is able to produce an exceptionally personal service to every client who we work with. We are currently recruiting for an organised Chef de Partie to work in our Event Kitchen on a full-time, permanent basis. You will be required to work flexible hours for 5 days a week including occasional weekends, and some evening events as necessary to the needs of the business.
The successful candidate will have the proven ability to take responsibility for a section and working effectively within a team. The position is mainly based in Tate Britain, where Tate Entertaining’s production kitchen is based, going out to deliver events in the various Tate outlets.
Amongst other essential skills, this role requires you to:
* Be flexible with your duties with the ability to work in various parts of the business.
* Work flexible shifts (mostly straight day shifts) for 5 days a week including some weekends and evenings.
* Have great knowledge of food and appreciation of the importance of food hygiene.
* Have experience gained in a high-profile, busy Restaurant, Café or Events kitchen
* Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong computer literacy
