Deadline: Wednesday 23 September 2015 at 4:00pm

7.5 per week, £26,000-£29,000, dependent upon experience, per annum plus staff benefits. Fixed-term contract until July 2016.

The Lowry is an internationally acclaimed cultural landmark situated at the heart of MediaCityUK, one of the world’s most exciting culture and media destinations.

The Lowry’s Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) is funded by the Department of Education’s Music and Dance Scheme and offers access to high quality pre-vocational dance training for young people from across the North West region.

Established in 2009, The Lowry CAT ensured that each sub-region of England had access to such specialist training. Since the scheme’s development, The Lowry CAT has been able to contribute to the broader dance ecology and works alongside the National Dance CATs and other Youth Dance Networks to ensure that the training and nurturing offered is reflective of the industry whilst continuing to respond to current knowledge, research and aesthetics of dance training at this level. The Lowry CAT retains an annual cohort of approximately 60 to 65 students aged between 12 and 18 years of age.

We are looking for a CAT Manager to devise and schedule all programmed activity as part of the CAT curriculum and manage all training classes, workshops, performances and extended opportunities afforded to CAT students.

An up-to-date knowledge of good practice and experience of working in dance in an arts or educational organisation are essential. The ideal candidate will possess excellent project management skills and be a strong communicator. They will have experience of teaching/practical dance activity with young people and experience of creating and managing budgets.

**Please note that this role is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS disclosure.**

The application deadline for this vacancy is Wednesday 23 September 2015 at 4:00pm.

Interviews will take place on Monday 28 September 2015.
