SHIFT is a vibrant and interactive programme celebrating all things digital in Cheshire East. From exhibitions and workshops to talks and hands on making – Â SHIFT is full of inspiring and creative events for all ages and abilities.
We are building a team of freelance digital artists to increase our capacity to deliver workshops – whether for a code loving kid, a techie novice or whizz, a family in search of something new or a digital diva – our events will offer something for all in surprising spaces across the region in 2017 and beyond.
SHIFT events will investigate digital creativity in its broadest sense, and our offer will be engaged with emerging technologies and digital creativity. We want leaders for activities including practical and creative workshops, demonstrations and as speakers at talks and events.
SHIFT is focussed on increasing accessibility of digital creativity to a broad audience. This year, themes of interest include Smart Cities and Urban Regeneration, Future Making Skills and Science, all of which have a strong resonance with the Cheshire East region.
If you are a dynamic facilitator able to lead and support experiential learning in a fun and inclusive way at traditional and unexpected sites across Cheshire, we want to hear what you can offer: robotics, VR/AR, coding, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, games jams, hackathon, circuitry, conductive inks – and more…
To join SHIFT as a digital artist to lead themed workshops send a CV / Biog outlining what skills you offer, and include your day rate.
To propose a workshop idea, in addition to your CV / Biog include a PDF of your work plus an outline of the workshop offer, an indicative budget for materials / equipment and who your workshop is for (no more than 3 pages).
