We are looking to appoint to the post of Arts & Heritage Assistant (Museum).

£20,604 – £24,184 per annum
37 hours per week – in accordance with the needs of the service.

Rochdale Boroughwide Cultural Trust trading as Link4Life, an independent company limited by guarantee (a registered charity) with a trading subsidiary company was set up on 1 April 2007 to provide Sport and Leisure and Cultural Services including Arts and Heritage, on behalf of Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council under a 15 year Partnership Agreement.

The purpose of the trust is to plan and manage the delivery of high quality, enjoyable, affordable, accessible cultural provision in Rochdale Borough that gives residents and visitors the opportunity to lead the healthy, creative, active lifestyle of their choice.

Link4Life’s Arts & Heritage Service is committed to providing an engaging dynamic cultural offer to the communities of the Borough and beyond. The care and conservation of Borough’s collections and the maintenance of Touchstones Rochdale as a quality assured visitor attraction is central to this offer.

To ensure continuity of our quality cultural offer we are looking to appoint to the post of Arts & Heritage Assistant (Museum). The main purpose of the post is to assist and support the Resource Officer (Museum) in the provision and development of the museum, to assist in the care, conservation and documentation of the museum collection in accordance with the Collections Management and Access Policy and to contribute to the development and promotion of high quality and innovative Arts & Heritage Services Boroughwide.
