Fundraising Auction at the Bluecoat
We were fortunate today to have a preview of the artworks that have so far arrived in the Bluecoat office for their auction.
They’re all really good, its interesting how many top artists have been associated with the place over the years and obviously still have an affection for it.
One example is this piece by Yvonne Gilbert which you may recognise as the cover artwork for Frankie Goes To Hollywood‘s Relax EP. Its a limited edition print.
Other artists contributing include he Singh Twins, Tony Philips, Andrzej Jackowski, Julia Midgley, Pete Frame (a Rock Family Twig!), Alan Dunn, Pete Clarke, Leo Fitzmaurice and many more.
From the Bluecoat…
Artworks have been donated by acclaimed artists with a strong connection to the Bluecoat, wishing us well in this final phase of redevelopment. All money raised will be used to support the final fit out of public areas at the Bluecoat, beautiful vibrant spaces that we hope you will all come and enjoy when we re-open in early 08.
The online silent auction will conclude at a live auction event hosted by actor and presenter Simon O’Brien, 11 December 2007, LEAF, Roscoe Lane.
Some limited places at the live auction are available and those registering by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
will enter a draw for tickets.
