The Sands Centre in Carlisle, Cumbria is looking for casual Front of House Manager’s to oversee, as far as reasonably practicable, the safety and comfort of all event attendees and staff attending events held at The Sands Centre. The normal working hours will involve mainly evenings, but do also include day time shifts for matinees or non theatre related events. Evening shifts will usually be finished by 23:00hrs.
Operated by GLL, the UK’s largest charitable social enterprise, The Sands Centre is Cumbria’s and South West Scotland’s premier venue for entertainment and sports. The centre caters to over 750,000 customers a year and plays host to an exciting mix of shows for all the family, some of comedy’s biggest names, musicals from the West End, pop artists, ballet and opera.
As Front of House Manager, you’ll lead all matters relating to audience management for both small and large scale events. You’ll understand the importance of maintaining a safe work environment and be able to follow health and safety protocols. Ideally you will have some previous experience of leading a team in a live event environment and a passion for shows and events.
Full training will be given. Your attention to detail, professionalism and high standards of health and safety will be second to none. Although working as part of a wider team, you will be expected to manage yourself and your own workload and be self-motivating.
