Identity Documents is a still life photographic project that examines the relationship between possessions, namely books, and identity. The project plays on the idea that the photograph is a document, an objective snapshot of reality, and seeks to engage viewers in a dialogue with the photograph, drawing out conclusions as to the books’ owners’ personalities, interests and identities.
Photographer Adam Lee has been commissioned by Writing on the Wall Festival, Liverpool to produce a series of images of the bookcases of the festival’s staff and trustee.
Adam will be giving an artist’s talk about the project’s development on the 11 of May 2014 at Frederik’s 32 Hope Street, L1 9BX from 18.00 – 19.00.
