Liverpool East and South East Asian Network aka LESEAN (pronounced ‘lee-seen’ not ‘le-sean’) was formed by Sufea Mohamad Noor in September 2021 to bring ESEA creatives in Liverpool together, as a way to mark the first East and South East Asian Heritage Month in the UK.
In honour of our third birthday, LESEAN members have wrote birthday messages to celebrate the network’s many highlights over the past three years. This marks an important milestone for us as we reflect on how far we have come since Liverpool Independents Biennial, through Patrick Kirk-Smith, supported the Stop Asian Hate poster project in 2021.
