I am a designer maker, exploring colour and form through glass. I often make collections of vessels that have a common theme or process but separately have a unique quality that is created through hand-made crafts. The collections are designed to work together as well as individually.
I create vessels for flowers as gratitude to their beauty and gives the chance to celebrate the impermanent of nature once the flower dies; it leaves a space behind for future habitation. While making functioning vessels, I also aim to achieve beautiful objects that can be admired during and after use.” – Alice McKenzie
