 belong? Does the story of a refugee finish when asylum is won? Award winni
 ng authors Jennifer Makumbi and Dina Nayeri discuss migration and refu
 ge providing insights into resettlement\, identity and community.\n\nDina 
 Nayeri is the author of The Ungrateful Refugee\, one of the most widely 
 shared 2017 Long Reads in The Guardian. Winner of the 2018 UNESCO City of 
 Literature Paul Engle Prize\, a National Endowment for the Arts literature
  grant (2015)\, O. Henry Prize (2015)\, Best American Short Stories (2018)
 \, and fellowships from the McDowell Colony\, Bogliasco Foundation\, and Y
 addo. Her stories and essays have been published by The New York Times\, N
 ew York Times Magazine\, The Guardian\, Los Angeles Times\, New Yorker\, G
 ranta New Voices\, Wall Street Journal\, and many others. Her debut novel\
 ,A Teaspoon of Earth and Sea (2013) was translated into 14 languages. Her
  second novel\, Refuge (2017) was a New York Times Editors Choice. She h
 olds a BA from Princeton\, an MBA from Harvard\, and an MFA from the Iowa 
 Writers’ Workshop\, where she was a Truman Capote Fellow and Teaching Wr
 iting Fellow.\n\nJennifer Nansubuga Makumbi\, a Ugandan novelist and short
  story writer\, has a PhD from Lancaster University. Her first novel\, Ki
 ntu (Oneworld\, 2018)\, won the 2013 and was longlisted for the 2014 Etis
 alat Prize. She was awarded the 2014 Commonwealth Short Story Prize for he
 r story Manchester Happened\, and her first full story collection by the 
 same name will be published by Oneworld in 2019. Jennifer Nansubuga Makumb
 i was awarded the prestigious Windham-Campbell Prize for Fiction 2018 to s
 upport her writing. She lives in Manchester with her husband and son\, and
  lectures in Creative Writing at Manchester Metropolitan University.\n&gt\
