DESCRIPTION:Saturday 11 - Sunday 12 June 2016\, 11.00 - 16.00\n\nFollowing 
 last year’s highly successful event\, Wirral once again throws open its 
 studio\ndoors to summer\, for its 7th annual Wirral Open Studios Tour (WOS
 T). The tour which\ntakes place on June 11-12th\, 2016 - 11am - 4pm will s
 ee professional and semiprofessional\nartists and craftspersons exhibiting
  work spanning an array of interesting\ngenres.\n\nWith a superb bedrock o
 f Wirral talent\, the idea is that our exhibitors come together to\nopen t
 heir studios\, workplaces\, homes\, sheds\, summerhouses and exhibition sp
 aces to\nthe public who can view their work and chat about the artistic pr
 actices and methods of\nworking. We hope the informal and relaxing setting
  of the studios will help visitors\nunderstand our artists’ inspirations
  and creative techniques and share in their passion for\nthe creative arts
 .\n\nWith a spectacular artists’ response this year and more than 1500 p
 eople visiting from\nacross the North West in 2015\, the tour which is con
 tinually growing in popularity and\nreputation will see 50+ artists\, phot
 ographers\, printmakers\, potters\, painters\, glass\ndesigners\, illustra
 tors\, textile artists and ceramists come together to celebrate this cultu
 refilled weekend.\n\nArtist and Wirral Open Studio Tour member\, Amanda O
 liphant\, says: “Artists often work in\nisolation and it is so refreshin
 g to know that last year\, visitors ventured from all over the\nNorth West
  eagerly hoping to see as many studios as possible. Visitors are warmly\nw
 elcomed in\, with artists sharing their spaces\, in places that are not us
 ually open to the\npublic. Chatting freely about the motivation behind the
 ir work\, as well as discussing\ntechniques and approaches is such a great
  way for people to gain an insight into an artist’s\nworld and we hope t
 his year’s Open Studio Tour will be as exciting and as successful as\nev
 er.”\n\nDuring the lead-up there will be posters\, leaflets and a brochu
 re popping up in public\nplaces such as\; libraries\, shops\, galleries\, 
 cafés and bars. The brochure (which can also\nbe accessed online) has a f
 old-out easy-to-follow layout with trail maps and all the relevant\ndetail
 s visitors will need to access the studios. As all the work for sale\, vis
 itors will also\nhave the opportunity to take a way a piece of original ar
