DESCRIPTION:COME AND LEARN A NEW SKILL IN OUR INSPIRATIONAL SURROUNDINGS TH
 IS SEPTEMBER\, IN OUR NEW TERM OF PAMELA SULLIVAN’S ART TASTER COURSE.\n
 \nThis course is a little taster of a variety of different techniques and 
 media and has been created for both beginners and those who are more confi
 dent with their art work. We will cover different drawing and painting tec
 hniques using a variety of media including the use of graphite pencil\, ch
 arcoal\, acrylic and watercolour paint. We will also cover some basic prin
 t making techniques mono and lino cut printing as well as collagraph.\n\nS
 essions are tutor led with a short 20 minute to half an hour tutorial and 
 demonstration of newly introduced techniques or medium at the beginning. 
  Students are encouraged to ask questions and try out new techniques and m
 edia during each session.\n\nEach session will be set up with primary or s
 econdary source reference materials based on the requirements of the group
 \, examples of this could be artefacts from the Williamson collections\, p
 ortraiture\, organic forms such as flowers\, drawing in the built environm
 ent\; visiting Birkenhead Priory and so on.\n\nThe course will run on Fri
 days\, 10am-12pm\, from Friday 20th September.  The course will run for 
 10 weeks\, with a week’s half-term in October.\n\nAll adult courses are
  £55.  This works out to be a bargain at £2.75 per hour! Payable in fu

 an@hotmail.co.uk.\n\nThe classes are held in our specially equipped art ro
 om for most of our sessions.  We have specially designed tables which can
  be raised or lowered for wheelchair users.\n\nInitially materials and equ
 ipment will be provided but you will be expected to buy your own as the co
 urses progress.  A materials list and advice on best products to buy will
  be given during the first few weeks of the course.  The gallery has an e
 xcellent art shop ArtFix\, there is a 10% discount for students on William
 son-based courses.\n\n\nThe gallery has an excellent café which offers a 
 discount on hot drinks for Williamson and Priory Friends.
