SUMMARY:Warrington Museum & Art Gallery: Warrington Museum & Art Gallery: N
ow / Fear of the Unknown
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nA group exhibition of new work by final year students at
Warrington and Vale Royal College.\n\nTaking Charlie Brooker’s Black Mi
rror as their starting point for inspiration\, the work explores the pres
sures that are put on the students either by society or themselves at this
point in their artistic and academic careers.\n\nThe students have worked
as a professional collective for the project\, gaining valuable work-base
d learning alongside their academic studies at college. Each of them has a
pproached the project with their own ideas\, concepts and beliefs about wh
at is the next stage of their lives. Subjects explored include self-identi
ty and social conformity\, while the work on display combines traditional
and non traditional media including interactive installations.\n\n\n\nDATE
