SUMMARY:Warrington Museum & Art Gallery: Warrington Museum & Art Gallery: I
  became a mother: Exhibition Preview
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\nExhibition Preview\, 7-9pm\n\nLāsma Poiša: I beca
me a mother\nI became a mother is a personal journey into a universal fem
ale experience of metamorphosis\, evolution\, and recovery. After Poiša b
ecame a parent\, photographing her daughter became the only opportunity fo
r a creative output. These photographs transcended the immediate function
of the family album revealing lesser-known sides of mothering. This work r
econsiders the conventional representation of the mother\, reframing birth
\, and motherhood as a journey down the mythical well as part of a feminin
 e initiation.\n\n\nTICKETS\, Free - Book tickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
