SUMMARY:Warrington Museum & Art Gallery: Warrington Museum & Art Gallery: D
 ouble Exhibition Launch
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\nJoin us at Warrington Museum &amp\; Art Gallery for t
he launch of two new exhibitions:\nPete Regan: We’re All Alone in This T
ogether\n\nPete Regan’s latest exhibition takes inspiration from Warring
ton’s rich industrial heritage and\, in particular\, the poignant closur
es of iconic giants like Fiddler’s Ferry and Unilever\, where once hundr
eds of people were united through their work and shared sense of identity.
Through an array of mediums\, including striking images\, immersive insta
llations and multimedia elements\, the exhibition promises a multi-sensory
experience that encourages self-reflection and conversation about the tow
n’s changing character and what it means to the community.\n\nDiversity:
explored through abstraction\n\nStudents from Priestley College were invi
ted to respond to the theme of diversity. In the wake of divisive politica
l moments that have left us with a sense of heightened polarization\, we a
sked the group to think about disrupting the narrative\, exploring through
representation and the breaking of stereotypes\, the ways in which accept
ing diversity can lead to greater social cohesion. Through a series of wor
kshops responding to processes and techniques used by a range of artists l
ike Jadé Fadojutimi and Cecily Brown\, the students were introduced to ab
straction and ran with it\, to produce a collection of paintings all uniqu
e and original in just 6 weeks.\nAdmission is free\, but booking is requir
 ed.\nTICKETS\n\n\n\n\nThursday 23 Nov 2023\, 7:00pm\n\nBook tickets\n\n\n\
