SUMMARY:: Walking: Sonic Gaze
DESCRIPTION:\n\nSonic Gaze saturday 14th April 11.00am\nMeeting point. The
`lift` outside Limestreet station opposite the large screen\nDuration to b
e confirmed.\n\nThis session has Lime Street Station as the starting point
.\n\n\n\n\nThe three sites to be listened to are Lime Street Station\, Ed
ge Hill Station and the journey connecting the two. These offer a mix of
human-made and natural sound. There is a mix of size of spaces\, from the
open platform to the connecting tunnel\, the waiting room and the interi
or of the Lime Street Station.\n\nThis is the first of two\, very short\,
train trips\, named by Mr. Morton as ‘station to station’.\n\nMeet Sat
urday 14th April 11.00 am -\nMeeting point. The `lift` outside Limestreet
station opposite the large screen\nDuration to be confirmed.\n\nA ‘so
undwalk’ is a practice: it is walking without talking\, focusing on the
  sound around\, focusing on the present moment. In a `Sonic Gaze` session\
, the participants are static\, though the sounds could be mobile. Talking
might come later.\n\nSonic Gaze will be of interest to\;\n\n Musicians (
as it involves listening to a sequence of sounds)\n To recording artists
(as one needs to appreciate the relationship between background and foregr
ound sound\, for example)\n For electronic musicians (as it relates to th
e way timbres interact)\n To planners and architects (as the sound is par
t of the atmosphere of a place and affects social responses).\n Sound art
ist - (as an act of attentive listening as part of a preparatory methodolo
gy)\n Everyone and anyone\, (as an act of `ear cleaning`\, a space of tim
e to slow down and focus on the reality of sound in the present\, to reset
\, refresh and re-engage)\n\nThe Listening Room: this  Sonic Gaze session
is facilitated by Phil Morton &amp\; Robin Hartwell\nemail soundwalk@phi
lmorton.co.uk\nPhil Morton mob 07999518582\n\nWe meet at the meeting point
\, but it helps to know you are attending\, you can complete this form at
