SUMMARY:Walker Art Gallery: Walker Art Gallery: Joseph Cotgrave: [UD]i
DESCRIPTION:Joseph Cotgrave: [UD]i\n\nThe Liverpool-based artist Joseph Cot
grave will host [UD]i\, a pop-up exhibition in FORUM\, inside our exhibito
n Coming Out: Sexuality Gender and Identity.\n\nJoseph's work evolves out
of\, and responds to\, the legacy of HIV and AIDS activism within the visu
al arts.\n\nUD explores migration through biological\, physical and digit
al channels: the biological migration of HIV within the body\, the physi
cal movement across cruising grounds and the navigation of digital space
s such as Grindr. Resonating with the artist's own identification as a HIV
positive gay man\, UD explores the ways in which identity in gay space
s is misaligned with sex\, commenting on the hypersexualisation of gay me
n and the transition of this phenomenon from IRL and URL\n\nhttp://www.j
