Graduating from Northern School of Contemporary Dance in 2014\, Toussaint Buck has be en involved in many cross disciplinary projects working with a range of ar tists and communities from around the world. His focus as a maker and coll aborator is tocombine expressive skills such as: dance\, poetry\, beat-box \, singing and acting through performance and storytelling that reach beyo nd existing dance audiences. The work aims to challenge\, enlighten and en tertain the spectator and participant. Audiences are not justobservers\; t hey are implicit in the experience. The work aims to reflect on reality\, looking at ongoing socio-political situations with a humanitarian intentio n.\n\n \;\n\n“I will be guiding participants into my approach of voi ce and movement which I call Beatmotion. We will find an acute sense of li stening as we catch the vocal improvisation train\, bringing life and a de pth of embodiment to our movement. The movement focus of my class will be drawing on my Earthflow practice that is inspired by Capoeira\, Caribbean &\; Contemporary Dance\, Animal Flow\, Yoga and different elements of H ip Hop.\n\nExpect the motive of getting our bodies ready for the day\, wit h a very explorative and open direction. If you have experience of trainin g in dance regularly this will be for you\; I am open to people from diffe rent practices coming to the class as there is always something to learn.\ n\nMarrying the voice with our dance for me is about bringing light to a d imension of our movement\, creating a thematic experience. Textures of mov ing come from sound and our breath\, we will play with rhythm and punctuat ion\, expressing vocally as well as physically.
