  lectures exploring the theme of 'Movement\, Place and Meaning' from the p
 erspective of interconnected disciplines in the School of the Arts: Archit
 ecture\, Communication and Media\, English\, Music and Philosophy.\n\nFull
  details of the series\n\nThis Session: 'This Must Be The Place: Liverpool
 's Popular Music Venues'\n\nFrom music halls and Vaudeville in the 1800s\,
  via the seminal clubs and theatres of the 20th century\, to the large-sca
 le multi-million-dollar arena concerts of today\, the use of private and 
 public space for music performance has impacted on cities\, urban identit
 y and cultural legacy around the world. In this lecture Professor Kronenb
 urg\, Roscoe Professor of Architecture\, will focus on the music venues
  of Liverpool and describe the special history it has had in shaping his u
 nderstanding of this architecture\, examining both famous and less well-kn
 own examples from the smallest underground music space to the largest stad
 ium-filling travelling set.\n\nFollowing the lecture Robert Kronenburg wil
 l be signing copies of This Must Be The Place: An Architectural History o
 f Popular Music Performance Venues (Bloomsbury\, 2019) in the Waterhouse
