DESCRIPTION:In January 2016 Metal Liverpool in partnership with 67projects
  are curating Liverpool Provocations\, a series of four new public realm 
 art works based in and around the city centre.\n\nLiverpool Provocations i
 s a series of interruptions that urge the public to stop and ponder questi
 ons surrounding consumption\, money\, value and exchange.\n\nEach project 
 will happen within the week of 18th – 24th January 2016 at various locat
 ions in Liverpool’s bustling city centre.\n\nAlan Dunn\, artist/curator\
 , presents FOUR WORDS The Media Wall\, opposite Lime Street\, Wednesday 20
  January 2016\, 15.00 - 16.00.\nAn alternative stream of provocative 10-se
 cond animations with over 100 participants from a range of backgrounds inv
 ited to compose four word statements. The contributors include Gerhard Ric
 hter\, Douglas Coupland\, Shaista Aziz\, Pavel Büchler\, Fiona Banner\, L
 evitt &amp\; Dubner (‘Freakonomics’)\, David Shrigley\, retired seafar
 er Captain Pengelly\, Hala Al-Alaiwat and ex-Liverpool FC striker David Fa
 irclough amongst others.\n\nForest Swords presents new sound and dance pie
 ce SHRINE\, Saturday 23 January 2016\, 17.00 &amp\; 20.00 at the Black-e (
 Booking essential).\nAn accomplished music producer and artist\, Forest Sw
 ords’ previous commissions include ‘Ground Rhythms\,’ a trilogy of s
 ite-specific sound art pieces. This intimate new commission is a physical 
 and aural exploration of the body and breath – a potent reclamation of t
 he human body and spirit as a tool for independence\, purpose\, and person
 al power.\n\nJulieann O’Malley\, Monday 18 - Saturday 23 January 2016 (s
 ecret location\, bookable timeslots available)  a new immersive performan
 ce piece.\nAn interdisciplinary artist who works in galleries and public s
 pace\, the work will utilise performance\, combined with installation\, vi
 deo\, sound and photography. For Liverpool Provocations she will be encour
 aging passers-by to indulge in a moving 1:1 performance incorporating the 
 themes of George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four.\n\nMEYOUANDUS will prese
 nt BIG MOUTH at various locations including Church Street\, Monday 18 - Sa
 turday 23 January 2016\, after 16.00.\nMEYOUANDUS specialise in technicall
 y complex public arts projects using state of the art technologies to enha
 nce artistic and human exchange in public spaces. Big Mouth is a mobile in
 stallation that invites participants to speak their deepest thoughts in co
 nfidence away from the superficial veneer of social dialogue. The thoughts
  are then displayed on a 360° projection of a silently speaking big mouth
 . Underneath the thoughts are transformed into demons that carry these neg
