Imagine a school that was built on the site of an old hospital\, a bar that used to be a boarding house for criminals\, or a house that was once the site of a revolutionary plot.\n\nWe will be guided by the “Spirits o f the Space” as they paint the scene as it is now\, tell the tales of th e past\, and guide us through the story we are seeing. How will the storie s of the past haunt the characters that we see now? That is for our perfor mers and our audience to discover together.\n\nThis show was originally cr eated for and performed at Newcastle Improvisation Festival in 2017 and ha s now been developed and adapted to be fully accessible to an audience wit h visual impairment. “The spirits” of the show will become fully integ rated audio-description – one of the joys of this is that the audio desc ription does not only provide accessibility but it gives new layers of int eraction for the improvisers to feed off.\n\nThe Show was created by Op en Heart Theatre – a company that was established to produce open and he artfelt improvisation – The most recent adaptation was developed by a ra nge of improvisers led by SaSS Improv director Owen Scrivens in Sheffield. \n\nPerformed by: Owen Scrivens + team\n\n \;\n\nWebsite: www.openhe arttheatre.com\n\nTwitter / X: @scrivvyfloor\n\nQuotes: “Excellent cha racter work\, an interesting format with great potential”\, Phoenix Rem ix\n\n \;\n\nThis show is part of the second instalment of the Liverpo ol Improv Festival.
