SUMMARY:The Trophy Room Liverpool L8 5SD: The Trophy Room: Caroline McDouga
ll - 'Gherkin You About Baby.(Does It Feel Good?)'
DESCRIPTION:Caroline McDougall - 'Gherkin You About Baby.(Does It Feel Good
 ?)'\n\n14.12.2016 - 04.01.2017\nPV 14.12.2016\, 18:00 - 21:00\n\nCaroline
McDougall will present the sixth show in the Trophy Room. McDougall is a a
rtist living and working in London\, who has had previous work in shows su
ch as: 'Travellers on the Earth\, Wuhan\, China.' and '‘MILK\, NO SUGAR
 ’\, Unit 9\, Flying Horse Walk. Nottingham\, UK.'\n\nCaroline McDougall
is an artist based in South London whose work explores the ideas of gender
and sexuality through playful motifs and decorative sculpture.\n\nThrough
her work she questions gender stereotypes and heteronormativity\, and the
impact they have upon the millennial generation.\n\nShe considers the imp
ortance her generation places upon aesthetics and how she herself is very
influenced by them as evident through the ornamental element of her practi
ce.\n\nHer work is often a reaction to personal experiences and a way to e
xpress her concerns about the clichéd or bizarre yet typical encounters s
he has as a cisgender female.\n\nThrough her work she is asking the audien
ce to consider the unrealistic stereotypes and expectations that we have o
ften become accustomed to\, and to consider their own relationship with se
x and pleasure- to ask themselves does it really feel good?\n\n\n\nThe Tro
phy Room\, The Royal Standard\, Northern Lights\, Cains Brewery Village\,
 Mann Street\, Liverpool\, L8 5SD.\n\nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/37780
