 position from the Working Class Creatives Database\, held in conjunction w
 ith Pineapple Black. Uniting the work is one thread: created by people fro
 m a working-class background. This is a statement of our intent.\n\nThe Wo
 rking Class Creatives Database is a platform highlighting the work of peop
 le who are working class\, giving a supporting structure to people that ar
 e involved in the arts. It aims to give more of a space to working-class a
 rtists within the arts\, and by extension the wider community.\n\nInvolvin
 g an extensive number of members from the database\, the exhibition will b
 ring together many different disciplines to create a showcase for their wo
 rk. Held in an expansive 3D space\, there will be a network of rooms allow
 ing the viewer to explore painting\, photography\, 3D design\, and sculptu
 re\, amongst other forms. As well as showcasing member's work\, it will co
 ntribute to a broader narrative of working class experience in the arts.\n
 \nIn the arts\, working-class people are significantly under-represented. 
 As of 2020\, only 16% of the workforce in creative industries identify as 
 being from working-class backgrounds. By creating a platform for working-c
 lass creatives this begins to readdress these issues within the sector thr
 ough creating a voice for those that are otherwise outsiders.\n\nIt will b
 e held as an online exhibition from April 9th until May 14th. This is in c
 onjunction with Pineapple Black Arts\, based in Middlesbrough\, and will b
 e held at their virtual gallery\, PBVArts. The exhibition will be free for

 k Arts is an arts space centred in Middlesbrough with a focus on celebrati
 ng and supporting artists of all backgrounds and creating safe\, inclusive
  spaces for audiences and artists alike.\n\nIn 2021\, Pineapple Black laun
 ched PBVArts\; a virtual rendition of their gallery space. PBVArts will fe
 ature a diverse programme of monthly exhibitions running throughout the ye
 ar.
