The Art Club Saint Helens will be holding an exhibition of their works at The World of Glass from Saturday 26th April 2025 until Saturday 31st May.
Regular workshops this Spring:
22/2/24 and 1/3/25 – FUNGI – Lets look at the wonderful world of Fungi, from the colourful Flyer Garrick and Ganoderma Lucidum to the less colourful but equally lovely Penny Bun and many varieties of Tree Fungi, there are hundreds of types of “mushrooms” to pick from. You could look at mushrooms in folklore and mythology – and even include a fairy or two! Lets see what we can come up with.
8/3/24 and 15/3/24Â – SPRING & NEW LIFE – A very wide subject, some examples are:Â Greenery, bulbs, bluebells, daffodils, spring lambs, new growth on trees, chicks, woodland, blue skies, fluffy clouds.
22/3/24 and 29/3/24 – FOLKLORE & TRADITIONS –Â The wonderful array of celebrations held all over the country – May Day celebrations, Midsummer Eve at Stonehenge, Morris Dancing, Church Walking Days, Maypole Dancing, May Day Queen, Well Dressing, Cheese Rolling, Brass Bands, Afternoon Teas.
5/4/24 –Â A member of the club will sit for the group to be painted / drawn.
12/4/24 –Â A demonstration by the Warrington artist and art tutor, Mark Turner.
