SUMMARY:The World of Glass: The World of Glass: Art Club St Helens
DESCRIPTION:Art Club St Helens meets every Saturday\, 10am-12pm\n\nAUG/SEPT
PROGRAMME:\n\n10/8/24 \nMandala art:  Mandala means "circle".  First
originated in the first century BCE in India.  Create any piece you like
\, either large or small. Perhaps use a template or compass to start off y
our design..... there are lots of examples of this colourful art on the in
ternet and Pinterest.  The world is your oyster.\n\n17/8/24\nCreate a pie
ce either in the style of your favourite artist or your interpretation of
 a painting by your favourite artist - Matisse\, Van Gogh\, Turner\, L. S.
 Lowry\, pre - raphaelite\, impressionism\, are a few suggestion.\n\n24/8/2
4\nPleats\, folds and shading in fabric:  A very challenging subject but
one which deserves to be practiced.  Bring in a piece of interesting fabr
ic or garment.  I can't promise but I will do my best to put something to
gether to wear on that day and am happy to sit as a model!  I will confir
m nearer the time.\n\n31/8/24\nThe Summer Garden:  In all it's glory at t
his time of the year - either floral or vegetable.  For inspiration see P
aul Cousin's large piece by the desk in reception at TWOG.  Look at the e
xtremes of natures colours / shapes and form in it's summer abundance. Thi
s topic would suit itself to the abstract form.\n\n7/9/24\nShoes:  A fant
astic subject - find a pair you love\, either boxed or positioned.  Child
's or babies shoes / worn out work shoes / wellies / slippers\, again the
choice is endless.\n\n14/9/24\nInteriors:  Look at the interior of a room
\, perhaps a pub or bar with all the bottles or a cafe with a stainless st
eel coffee urn. You could include crowds or couples or you could simply dr
aw or paint a favourite room or area in your own home - a work bench / art
  room / sewing room / garage area.\n\n21/9/24\nLife Drawing session:\nI'm
trying to introduce an occasional life drawing class with a live\, nude mo
del.  I am aware that some members of the group may not wish to participa
te so have arranged that modesty screens be placed in the room so that tho
se not taking part can get on with a piece of their own choice on the day.
I think this should work quite well - we'll give it a go and see how it
works.  There will be a minimal additional charge for those who chose to
participate.\n\nContact:\nFb : The Art Club Saint Helens\nEmail:  thear

the World of Glass Saint Helens\,  Chalon Way East\,  Saturdays 10-12am.
