SUMMARY:: The Valley Theatre: A Sense of Place
DESCRIPTION:A Sense of Plays….at Valley Theatre\n\nThe folks at Valley Th
eatre offer their latest event for this year’s popular Liverpool Fring
e\, a showcase of original short plays by Merseyside writers.\n\nAudiences
will be entertained by two evenings of short\, punchy dramas especially
written around the theme: A Sense of Place.\n\n“We wanted to stretch th
e writers\,” explains Tom Mclennan\, the event producer. “We asked the
m to anchor their piece in a particular location. The place itself had to
play an important part of the action\, be almost like another character
in it.”\n\nThe theme has certainly produced a wide variety of settings\,
from the deck of a 19th century ship to the dizzying top of a high-rise
building.\n\n“We see the event as part of our continuing commitment to b
ringing new writing to our theatre\,” says Martin Ball\, director of Val
ley Community Theatre. “We believe we have one of the best performance s
paces on Merseyside and want to make it as accessible as possible to audie
nces and artists alike.”\n\n“A Sense of Place” will take place on Fr
iday 6th &amp\; Saturday 7th of October and give audiences the chance to
see 10 completely new works\, five each evening.\n\nTickets are on sale f
 rom www.valleytheatre.co.uk or 07746 697 263\n\nProgramme starts at 7.30
 \, doors open 7pm.\nMore details info@valleytheatre.co.uk
