DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\nA still-life workshop focusing on a introduction to wor
 king with paint\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBOOK HERE\n\n\n\n\nWorkshop Description:\n\n\
 n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWith a focus on fruit\, this still-life workshop is a great
  introduction to working with paint and is the perfect way to gain an unde
 rstanding of the material and make something you’ll be really proud of. 
 At the end of the session\, each participant will have a finished canvas t
 o take home.\n\nWhat you will learn:\n\nGetting comfortable with materials
  and creating basic shapes through a series of short drawing techniques\n\
 nLearning how to draw and curate the shapes practiced at the start of the 
 session\n\nTransferring drawings onto canvas\n\nHow to mix acrylic paints 
 and creating a unique colour palette from primary colours\n\nHow to create
  light and dark\, as well as depth and perspective\n\nNo previous painting
  experience is necessary\, and anyone from beginners to more seasoned pain
 ters are welcome. All necessary props and materials will be provided.\n\nA
 bout Mia Cathcart:\n\nMia is an artist living and working in Liverpool. Mi
 a’s interested in the formalities of portraiture painting and the limits
  of the medium. The connotations\, expectations\, redundancies and cliché
 s are all relevant to her practice. She tries to challenge the significanc
 e that portraiture carries\, giving seemingly insignificant images a sense
  of importance. More recently she’s been exploring ‘flat pack painting
 s\,’ combinations of paintings and how her work exists off the canvas st
