SUMMARY:The Royal Standard: The Royal Standard: Light Blue
DESCRIPTION:23nd February – 24th March 2019\n\nOpening Night – Friday
 22nd - 6-9pm\n\nRSVP on Facebook\n\nWhat can you see\, hear\, smell\, tast
e and feel?\n\nThe five senses allow our brains to perceive and understand
the external world\, but how can they affect us physically or even emotio
nally? It has long been argued that viewing lighter shades of the colour b
lue can slow down our heart rate\, and that smells and music can unlock me
mories in those of us who can no longer recall them instinctively.\n\nLigh
t Blue aims to question how emotions can be explored through our senses. T
o do this\, invited artists Alex Margo Arden (London)\, Hannah Bitowski (L
iverpool)\, Kitty Jones (Chester) &amp\; Michael Lacey (Liverpool) have cr
eated a range of artworks including sound pieces\, scented installations a
nd tactile sculptures for visitor interaction.\n\nAs part of this programm
e\, The Royal Standard has also paired with WHISC (Women’s Health Inform
ation &amp\; Support Centre) to host well-being activities in the gallery\
, including yoga sessions for carers and those receiving care in our local
  community.\n\nOpen Fridays\, Saturdays and Sundays\, 12-5pm\n\nViewings t
hroughout the week are available by appointment only\n\nGet in touch to ar
range a viewing\n\nFree entry. Fully accessible
