No previous experience is required.\n\nCatherine wil l show you how to approach mark-making to create depth\, texture and tone along with best practice for printing. You will learn mono-printing techni ques as a background on which to print as an alternative to plain white. T here will be demonstrations\, and an easy one colour 'trial' exercise befo re students embark on a larger scale multicolour print series.\n\nYou will have the choice to print onto A4 professional print quality paper\, greet ings cards and cotton fabric. This workshop is suitable for ages 16 and up wards due to sharp cutting tools.\n\nTutor: Catherine Carmyllie\n\nCather ine Carmyllie is a Liverpool based Artist currently working across paintin g and textile art. She completed a Textile Arts degree at Huddersfield Uni versity before spending 6 months at The Arts and Crafts Academy of Kuopio\ , Finland where she had the opportunity to learn ancient Scandinavian skil ls such as bookbinding\, weaving\, felt-making amongst others.
