DESCRIPTION:&nbsp\;\n\nExhibition set to sow the seeds of Liverpool’s nex
 t generation of art lovers from the grass roots up 9th September to 18th
  October\n\n377 Florence Institute Mill Street Dingle L8\n5pm-9pm\n\nOne o
 f Liverpool’s most talked about artists during the Twentieth Century Jam
 ie\nReed\, is to hold a unique exhibition at Liverpool’s Florence Instit
 ute to coincide\nwith the 40th anniversary of punk.\n\nThe ‘Casting Seed
 s’ exhibition will feature work from throughout the artist’s career a
 nd will include his original Sex Pistols mural flown in especially from M
 ilan for the occasion. Other works have travelled from Germany and Brighto
 n and will be a unique showcase of the artist’s career.\n\nThe exhibiti
 ons aim is to connect communities across the city with the Florrie throug
 h art and culture. Jamie wants communities to come together for the exhib
 ition and participate in “Casting Seeds\, the Liverpool Perennial” as 
 a lasting mark on the city to embed the connections. This activity will s
 ee 10\,000 seed cards distributed to carpet grot spots in our communities
  with wild flowers and use art as a tool to change our own environment.\n
 \nReid is best known for his work with the originators of Punk Rock – Th
 e Sex Pistols. He created the iconic cover designs including Never Mind T
 he Bollocks\, Anarchy in the UK and a God Save series. His art has been e
 xhibited internationally and helped shape popular culture in the latter p
 art of the 20th century across the world.\n\nHis work is considered timel
 ess\, always politically engaged\, he produced graphics and art for some 
 of the key political campaigns of the last 30 years\, including Anti-Poll
  Tax\, Criminal Justice Bill\, Clause 28\, Occupy and Reclaim the Streets
 . He has since designed a God Save the Florrie tee shirt\, which helps the
  newly formed urban art center to raise much-needed funds.\n\nIt is the s
 econd landmark cultural offering from the beloved South Liverpool venue s
 ince Anne Lundon took over as CEO earlier this year. The first\, Jimmy Ca
 uty’s “ADP Riot Tour” seen over 3000 people visit the Florrie whilst
  it was on tour. Anne said: “I’m overjoyed to host another prestigiou
 s and unique exhibition\, Jamie Reid is an absolute gem. The Florrie brin
 gs back punk! This is a real coup and what’s more\, it’s free!\n\nAnn
 e concluded with “The fact that both Jimmy and Jamie chose The Florrie t
 o bring art to the heart of the community speaks volumes. We all love the
  community what it represents today and what it could be if we use art to
