SUMMARY:Cornerstone: The Cornerstone: Liverpool Artists’ Network Slide Sl
 am
DESCRIPTION:Liverpool Artists’ Network Slide Slam\, Tuesday 14th May at L
iverpool Hope Uni Creative Campus 6.30pm – 8.30pm\n\n\nVenue details:
  Liverpool Hope Creative Campus\, Shaw St\, Liverpool L6 1HL\n\n\nSpeaker
s at the LAN meetings usually talk about a project that they are working o
n or a project they want to start.  This is great! BUT\, we also want to
encourage speakers to come and present about themselves and their work\,
to say\, this is who I am/what I do/what I think.  The LAN Slide Slam is
your chance to do this.\n\nYou will be asked to show 12 images\, each for
30 seconds. The images advance automatically and you talk along to the ima
ges.  So you get 6 minutes to do your presentation.\n\nOther than the for
mat of 12 slides and 30 seconds per slide\, you can talk about whatever yo
u want: your interests in general\, work you have made in the past\, exhib
itions or projects you’ve been part of\, specific themes that interest y
ou\, other artists who inspire you – whatever you think you need to say
to connect with the kind of people who you want to link up with.\n\nWe hav
e a limited number of spaces for the presentations\, so if you would like
to introduce Liverpool to your work\, please email us ASAP to let us kno
 w.  We’ll take names on a first come first served basis.\n\n\nThe Slide
Slam will kick off with a presentation from our special guest\, Theresa E
aston from the Artists’ Union http://www.artistsunionengland.org.uk/ a
nd she’ll be sticking around to chat to anyone who wants more info about
The Artists’ Union at the end.\n\n\nFollowing on from the presentations
\, there will be time for you to meet\, mingle and grab another brew.\n\nA
nd if you’ve got any questions at all just get in touch.  We look forwa
rd to seeing you there!\n\n\n\nBest Wishes!\n\nIf you are talking about Li
verpool Artists’ Network on Twitter please use the #LivArtNet hashtag.
