 practitioners from the field of community arts\, in order to discuss the l
 egacy of such practices in the light of a renewed interest in socially eng
 aged art.\n\nThis event will re-open conversations and instigate new ones\
 , ensuring that important work undertaken in the 1970s and 1980s continues

 mes in Liverpool and beyond that considers current approaches in socially 
 engaged art. The Visible Award\, hosted by Tate Liverpool\, is the first E
 uropean award for socially engaged artistic practice\, celebrating art pro
 jects that work with people in the social sphere across the world.\n\nOn S
 aturday 31 October\, the 2015 Visible Award jury is taking place at the Co
 uncil Chamber in Liverpool Town Hall. An open public debate will be hosted
  that leads to the announcement of the prize winner.\n\nThe daylong confer
 ence is convened by Liverpool Biennial and Andrea Phillips\, in associatio
 n with Visible Award 2015 and Tate Liverpool.
